Marquis Suite

The finest room in the hotel occupies the palace’s noble front and its most symbolic spaces: a grand ballroom with rococo coffered ceilings and a tea room, now a bedroom, whose ceiling still preserves an intact allegorical canvas depicting agricultural work, a reminder of the former owners’ splendor.

The room is just over 80 sq m and features five floor-to-ceiling windows facing the main façade, making it especially bright. The bathroom, living room, and bedroom were original spaces in the life of the Marqués de Caro Palace. All original architectural elements have been preserved. While the living room was designed to reflect the urban taste of a socially rising family in the 19th century, the ceiling painting in the bedroom preserves the agricultural roots of its heritage. As a curious detail, the upper corners still retain the palace’s original lighting system, created more than 100 years ago.
