This spacious room measuring 32m2 is accessed from above via a staircase and gains its name from the imposing stone archway which, fully restored, presides over the back wall and once served as the first checkpoint through which travellers had to pass upon reaching Valencia in the Arabic period (12th century). Moreover, it is unique in that it is the only room to be situated outside the city walls, a fact which allows its guests to observe the exterior length of the wall adjacent to the Arabic tower.
